Our journey to Senegal takes us to discover a place that is rich in history, art and pure nature. Arriving in Dakar, our first stop is Gorée Island, a small island that continues to keep the traces of Senegal’s colonial past: here, where we now find local artists’ colored shops, there was once the slave prisons. Slaves who waited to be transferred overseas and to European colonies. The present day Senegal, however, is made up of the salt harvest in the famous Pink Lake, agriculture in local villages and tourism in unique places, like the Sindia baobab forest and the Saloum river delta.
